I thoroughly enjoyed learning the history of Manaiakalani, especially as it was started without the
number of technical resources we have available today.
Google KEEP...that’s a keeper!!! I have so many ‘to do lists’ as documents, folders, and even scraps
of paper and seem to often lose them. The fact that I can add to a list when I’m not in front of my
laptop will be so beneficial.
I’m really excited about voice typing. I was looking for another activity for my reading tumble and
I’m going to add voice typing to it. I used to wonder why or what value students recording
themselves speaking had, but I can see how beneficial this could be to students. I like the idea
of students then having to ‘edit’ their work.

It will be a perfect example for learn, create, share.

I created (at least started creating) new signs for my classroom rubbish collection.

Hi Kendra, I am pleased you got the last minute call up to join us in this learning journey. I am like you with scraps of paper - it used to be backs of envelopes! Google Keep is such a useful tool. I look forward to seeing your rubbish collection signs too when you share them.

I'm always amazed at the resources behind Manaiakalani and how it all pulls together. It just continues to keep growing!
ReplyDeleteHi Kendra, I can connect with you with the voice typing. There are 1 student in my class who will truely benefit from this. I will also use this for a whole class activity where they have to do voice typing when writing their quick write.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing
Hi Kendra,
ReplyDeleteLoving the rubbish collection posters! They look very sharp. I'm looking forward to hearing how voice typing went with your learners! Like Dorothy mentioned, I'm so pleased that you have joined us for the DFI journey!
HI Kendra
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed that you liked Keep. I didn't finish my shopping list but feel like it could be a good thing in another context for me. Thanks.
